INFINITELY MORE...

I really enjoyed this video

from Pastor Steven Furtick at Elevation Church. This video is where the thought for this devotion stems from.

The minister asked in the video...

Why are you here?

Why?....

To see what God can do...

To see what God can do for you?

To see what God can do through you?

If you get a chance watch or listen to the video. I believe you will enjoy it and God will speak to you through it; if you will let him.

Below is a short devotion that God blessed me with after watching the video.

I thought to myself and I want you to ask yourself this as well.

Ask yourself those questions...start by asking....Why are you here?

God works through us and we need to awaken our passion for him and the things he offers those who truly seek him, so he can work through us. Let us ponder....are we, am I, are you, truly seeking God for a closer relationship? When we truly seek him and put him at #1 we will see Him working through us.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

God is able! We just need to stop putting limits on what he can do through us. We must love him and put aside the fleshly nature (doubt, insecurities, unwillingness, disobedience etc). Know he can do all things through us according to his will when we truly love him, seek him and are obedient.

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NLT

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”‬‬

It is up to us to realize we need to seek and truly want God to work through us. We can not continue to just go through the motions of church and be satisfied. Let’s not be like it says in Psalms 4:2...

‭Psalms‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭NKJV

“How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah”

‭‬‬

Let us do more so we are not showing the world a dead church and portray God as anything less than most powerful Almighty God who can do all things. Let’s not bring shame to God by not living up to our potential in Him.

Psalms‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NKJV

“The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.”

Let’s understand who he is and know he wants to work through us. Let us seek him.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:4‬ ‭ESV

“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!”

‬‬

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭NKJV

“I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NKJV

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:7-8‬ ‭NKJV

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

So I pray that we can come together and seek God, find what he has for us and let him work through us. Through me, through you, through us as a group; as the body of Christ. And all the glory be to God. In Jesus’ name Amen!
