Getting our flesh out of the way...
A lot of the times we that are saved bring to much of the flesh, our fleshly nature, with us to church. We come in with our minds scattered, not focused and ready to praise and worship God. We are not in one mind and one accord with each other. We have a battle in our mind with what the flesh wants and what the spirit wants. We need to nail that fleshly nature to the cross and do this daily. God desires that we will draw near to him so He can draw near to us. If we are truly seeking God on a daily basis, He will begin to reveal His will and His calling for our lives. He will fill us with his spirit and our desires will be according to His will the closer we are to him.
Galatians 5:24-26: 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
1 Corinthians 1:10 NLT
“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”
As a body, as a people, let's come together in one mind and praise and worship our God. Seek him, glorify him and grow closer to him. See what he can do in us.
Are we willing to surrender ourselves to the will of God?
Will we nail the fleshly nature to the cross and let God have his way in us?
Let's see what God can do through us.
